Horseback safari

Take a ride on well behaved and trained horses through the Krugersdorp Game Reserve. The reserve boasts many species of wildlife, fantastic scenery and an abundance of birdlife and is about 1.5 hours from Johannesburg.

Possible animals to be seen include Zebra, Giraffe, Black Wildebeest, Eland, Kudu and more.

The ride is about 2-2.5 hours.  Weather can affect the possibility of this tour.

Arrival time at the location is either 9am or 1.30pm.

Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre

The Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre was established in 1971, as a cheetah conservation project. The Centre has continued to perform an important role in the conservation of cheetahs and has bred over 800 cheetah cubs.

Come see the centre and its abundant wildlife less than 2 hours away from Johannesburg. There is no unnecessary breeding of animals and they are given only the best care. The tour includes walking around and driving around the premises and being given great photographic opportunities.

The tour is about 3 hours long.

Arrival time at the location is either 8am or 1pm.

KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Come visit the magnificent Kruger National Park which is about 5-6 hours from Johannesburg. At least 150 mammal species, 500 birds, 340 trees, 115 reptiles, 50 fish and 35 amphibians have been recorded in Kruger, which is about 20 000 sq km. Today the Kruger National Park plays an important conservation role. It is seen as a major economic influence in the region. It creates jobs and attracts valuable tourism revenue.

On the tour guests will be treated to safaris in Kruger National Park and will be staying just outside of the park in an area known as Hazyview.

This is an overnight tour. Any more information can be given upon request.

PILANESBERG NATIONAL PARK

The Pilanesberg National Park is situated in the North-West Province, about 2.5 hours from Pretoria and Johannesburg  and is one of only 3 alkaline volcanoes in the world, a volcano that was a staggering 7000 meters in height.

The park supports more than 50 species of large mammals and is home to 15 species of antelope.

MONKEY SANCTUARY

Come have a fun tour to the Monkey sanctuary situated just 1.5 hours from Johannesburg. This sanctuary takes in unwanted and unloved monkey species that are mostly non-indigenous to South Africa. The sanctuary breeds vulnerable species but does not sell them at all. Come and see the beautiful and large enclosure and walk amongst the monkeys. Walk along a wooden pathway crossing a scary swinging bridge or two while enjoying viewing the monkeys living as freely as possible in their home.

Warning: some monkeys are very curious and enjoy searching us for our valuables.

CRADLE OF HUMANKIND AND STERKFONTEIN CAVES

The Sterkfontein Caves are about an hours drive away from Johannesburg. The caves are world famous for their fossil finds. The Sterkfontein Caves are owner by the University of the Witwatersrand, whose scientists have been responsible for the main excavations of the World Heritage Site. They are credited with the discoveries of “Mrs Ples” and “Little Foot”, an almost complete Australopithecus skeleton dating back more than 3-million years.

Take a guided tour inside the caves.

The Cradle of Humankind is one of eight World Heritage Sites in South Africa, and the only one in Gauteng. It is widely recognised as the place from which all of humankind originated. Take a guided or self-walking tour inside the famous Tumulus building while enjoying a fun and interactive learning experience.
